Physical fitness is essential for both nationals and expatriates as well. Here emerges the need for making tests in all stages of age, especially during studying in University and during employment. In this respect, Al Razi Health Centre is specialized in making the necessary tests for physical fitness for the work force before employment whether in the government, or private sector. As well as the regular tests for those whose nature of work necessitate this, like providers of food services. In addition, Al Razi also provides medical treatment for companies and establishment's employees with insurance from the Ministry of Health.

These services need to have a well organized appointment system to ensure easy and quick services especially during peak time like beginning of scholastic year in universities and institutions, which may cause some delay and inconvenience. Thus, it is important for nationals and expatriates to be aware of this system and to adhere to it in order for them to be provided with the services efficiently.

Physical Fitness Tests

These services are provided to the following categories:
  1. All expatriate workforce.

  2. The regular tests for providers of food services, or workers in women's and gents' salons. 

  3. Students applying for study in Bahrain universities, or Arab and foreign ones.
  4. Those to marry foreigners.


Fees and needed documentation:

  1. There are three categories for fees according to the nature of work which determine the tests fees:

    • Twenty Dinars
      It includes food providers, workers in salons in big hotels, crews members, as well as students of western universities.
    • Ten Dinars
      Other categories like workers in the field of construction, food providers , workers in saloons and students of Arab and local universities.
    • Urgent services , additional ten Dinars.
     

  2. Three 3x4 cm personal photos. 

  3. Copy of the CPR for the employee/ worker.


Procedures

Filling the Medical application from the sponsor. This application can be attained from the reception. Full details should be written in the application in clear handwriting, mentioning the position clearly as tests are done according to it, thus fees are determined accordingly.
  1. Visiting Al Razi Health Centre between 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. to buy the application form from the treasurer.
  2. Presenting the application form signed by the sponsor to the clerk where an appointment for laboratory tests, pecutus X ray and clinical check up will be made.
  3. Every applicant is given two appointments, one for the laboratory test, usually in the evening, and another for the clinical tests usually in the morning. There is usually a gap of one week between the appointments so that the results would be ready for the doctor.
  4. The clinical tests:

    • Upon the applicant arrival to the Health Center, he/she will collect his/her application form at the reception desk. Then tests begin as follows:
    • Eye and blood pressure tests, results will be written on his/her application form.
    • The applicant will be examined by the doctor. All the examination results will be checked and recorded in the application form.
    • The doctor in charge will approve the certificate against the results and comments of the examining doctor.
    • If the results are negative, papers are transferred to the concerned authority according to the problem. Upon solving the problem, papers are returned to the medical centre to issue the physical fitness certificate.
