The Ministry of Health has embarked on a Project to implement a third-party College Students Registration System to replace the current legacy system which is approximately 20 years old and therefore no longer fulfils the needs of a modern College.
The abilities of the new System will include:
- Automating the admission process for new applicants.
- Registration of existing students for future semesters.
- Grades processing.
- Monitoring of students’ services on offer by the college.
- Matching sponsorship offers with applicants.
- End-of-term/end-of-program management reports
The benefits to be gained from the new System include:
- Expanding the number and the types of users who will access the system.
- Allowing immediate access to student information at any given time by fully authorized personnel/user. Students, parents, teachers, will have their own access levels.
- Increasing the number of reports available.
- Introducing automatic generation of class and proctoring schedules with personnel and resources allocations.
- Improving performance monitoring on students and personnel.
The System will be implemented at the College of Health Sciences initially, but there is a future plan to link it with the Ministry’s Training Directorate so that non-regular programs can be offered by integrating with the Directorate’s training program.
