Recommended Immunization Schedule for the Expanded Program on Immunization, Bahrain

Note:

• H1N1 vaccine will be given to high risk groups and then it will be extended to other categories
  
  
• MMR vaccine 2nd dose catch-up campaign was started in 1998 at the age of 12 years to cover the unprotected students with 2 doses of MMR vaccine and this service was stopped in 2007 when all the cohorts received the vaccine during infancy become 12 years old.
  
  
• Hepatitis B vaccine catch-up campaign was started in 2001 at the age of 14 years to cover the unprotected students with 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine and this service was stopped in 2008 when all cohorts received the vaccine during infancy become 14 years old.

General vaccine contraindication

• The vaccine is contraindicated in case of severe allergic reaction to vaccine component or following a prior dose.
  
  
• Immunocompromised and cancer patients should present a certificate from the treating physician prior to vaccine administration.
  
  
• Moderate to sever illness at the time of vaccination.

  If the student was not present during the immunization session at school, please complete the above form and visit the respective Health Center to get vaccinated.
