    The mission of the Psychiatric Hospital is to provide maximum quality health and social care to mentally sick patients.

  • Objectives:
    The objectives are:

  • Providing psychological care.

  • Ensuring the hospital preventive role.

  • Spreading continuous community health awareness.

  • Continuous education and special training programs.

  • Medical and social meetings for cases discussion.

  • Functions:

1. Patient Registration and Admission
  • Registration of new patients.
  • Management of patient medical record creation, store and retrieval.
2. Social Services
  • Assessment of patients social problems.
  • Visiting homes for awareness and education.
3. Occupational Therapy
  • Training patient on handicraft works.
  • Monitoring and reporting patients progress and performance.
4. Pharmacy Services
  • Requisition of drugs from Directorate of Materials Management.
  • Management of drug stock (Quantity on Hand, Ordered Quantity...etc).
  • Supplying drugs to inpatients, outpatients and private patients.
  • Assisting Drug Commission and Hospital Management to monitor drug consumption.
5. General Domestic Services
  • Management of general services (security, gardener, barber, cleaners...etc).
  • Maintaining shift rotation data of security and other staff.
  • Supervising general maintenance services.
6. Food Services
  • Providing catering services for all inpatients, geriatric hospitals and maternity hospitals, except Salmaniya Medical Complex.
  • Coordination of raw material ordering and receipt from suppliers.
  • Managing material requisition from Directorate of Materials Management.
  • Food preparation and cooking.
  • Food delivery and cleaning.
7. Medical Services
  • Providing medical services to all inpatients, outpatients and private patients.
