تم التواصل مع المراجعة و قد قررت سحب الشكوى

أما بخصوص رد الطبيبة فكان كالتالي:

Regarding the last call conversation with the deputy Doctor in charge on 06/Oct/2022 at noon is about an issue received from a mother who came with her daughter for an appointment (MJK Health Centre).

I'm Dr Sara Mahdi, assigned for a general clinic on Thu 06/10/22 from 07:00 to 14:00. There were yellow cases in between from triage along with many seasonal flu cases.

I was punctually in my clinic treating all patients with ease. All appointments were on time with no delay. If we see or hear no response we call the next patient to keep the system going. Although yellow and emergency cases were manageable, some patients were coming twice with an urgent X-ray and lab review. Fortunately, all my patients were very satisfied.

During my consultation with a patient at 11:55, I heard constant chattering outside my door. As it got louder, I popped out to find a mother in fury. She kept complaining about the health centre system as well as having her appointment delayed since yesterday, which was only for lab tests. I warmly greeted her inside - to see what was going on - as soon as I finished with the last patient. The mother instantly refused to come in.

Her daughter came in very calm.I ordered her daughter's dermatology laboratory for a private with Dr Hussain Jumaa and I ordered her mother's NCD lab even without her attendance (Appointment timings: 11:39/ 11:47 respectively). Meanwhile, her mother made a nonsense racket outside.

Throughout seeing my patients, her daughter attempted to get her mother's attention. While her daughter was beside me, her mother opened the door after about 20 minutes, offensively yelling at her daughter. Although I never had a chance to properly treat her, she was accusing me of things I already did (lab test). I politely told her to come in but she furiously slammed the door and left with no apologies at all!

I later knew that the mother and daughter were not in the waiting area during the calling over the intercom. She can easily miss her appointment by standing next to the doctor's corridor while also disturbing others nearby. Adding to this, she crossed the security station.

Earlier the day, I instructed security to cooperate if any patient is disturbing; I told them not to hesitate and contact me anytime. Besides, any missed appointments will be warmly welcomed until the end of my duty.

Dr Sara Mahdi Hasan

CPR: 820505900

Consultant family physician

MJK Health Centre
