Under the title "Increasing interaction between the child and his carer – Parents Guide" - Pediatric psychiatry unit in cooperation with "Inattention hyperactivity" organizes the third annual meeting

The pediatric psychiatry unit in the psychiatry hospital organizes in cooperation with the society of inattention and hyperactivity the third annual meeting that is held this year under the title "Increasing the interaction between the child and his carer – Parents guide" on Thursday 27 March 2014 in Regency Hotel in the Ambassador Hall from 8:30 a.m to 2:00 p.m. President of the society of inattention and hyperactivity and the director of the organizing committee Dr. Ahmed Malallah Al-Ansari said that this activity is held by generous sponsorship from his excellency the assistant undersecretary of Hospitals Dr. Ameen Al-Sa'ati and will be attended by a group of those who are interested and specialists from Bahrain and the gulf region. The meeting will be also attended by the president of the scientific council of Arab board in psychiatry Dr. Nasser Lozah. Dr. Al-Ansari stated that the program contains presenting the scientific guide of the training project concerning care of children with inattention and hyperactivity which is the first training guide to the parents of children of pre-school age to repair behavior and constructing a better relationship between the two. This guide is also in Arabic and certified by the World Health Organization. The guide will be presented by Dr. Ahmed Malallah Al-Ansari, Dr. Haitham Jahrmi, Sayed Mahmood Al-Shakhoori and a work team. In the second part of the meeting, Kingdom of Bahrain will present three scientific papers – two of them will be about correspondence of the diagnosis between the teacher and the doctor and the other about the correspondence of the diagnosis between the health center doctor and the psychiatrist and about the compatibility ratios in the final diagnosis of the referred children. The first research will be presented by Thorya Mohammed Saleh, the second by Dr. Mayssa'a Al-Khunaizi from psychiatry hospital and the third scientific paper is a research project about following children with inattention and hyperactivity to teenage period and studying many changes like continuity of the disorder – degree of impairment – and quality of life etc. The paper will be presented on behalf of the work team by Dr. Eman Ahmed Haji – psychiatry consultant and president of school health department in the ministry of health. Dr. Al-Ansari added that: "I hope that by the end of this activity, the attendants will agree on the scientific guide of parents training which the society of inattention and hyperactivity prepare to work by in order to serve these children and their families" pointing out that improving the scientific guide is one of the winning project of the financial grants provided by the ministry of social development in 2013.
