CSB issues instruction on allowing working mothers to perform duties from home

In line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to enable mothers affiliated with ministries, government bodies and institutions to work from home, the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) issued instruction 5/2020 on distance work for working mothers, starting March 22.

 

Under the instruction, ministries, entities and government departments shall allow their working mothers to work from home until further notice, CSB President, Ahmed bin Zayed Al-Zayed, said.

 

He indicated that government departments shall coordinate with CSB to ensure that working mothers continue performing their duties in vital sectors, particularly health, to serve the nation, the citizens and residents.

 

Al-Zayed added that inn case working mothers account for less than 50% of the total number employees at the concerned government institution, the remaining percentage will be applied to the remaining staff, in accordance with the provisions of CSB's Instruction 4/2020 on the implementation of teleworking for public sector employees.
