Supreme Council for Health opens a new 814 bed treatment centre in Aali

The chairman of the SCH and the Head of the National Taskforce to Combat Coronavirus Lt. General Dr. Sh. Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa inaugurated yesterday a new inclusive care unit in A’ali. The opening was attended by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Waleed Al Manea, in addition to a number of officials. The new unit which is allocated to treat existing asymptomatic cases of Corona Virus (COVID-19). It is one of the largest medical facilities for isolation and treatment, with 814 beds and is managed by the Ministry of Health. The SCH chairman lauded the royal directives and the ongoing support of HM the King and expressed thanks to HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Price for their keen follow-up on all efforts exerted by Team Bahrain to enhance the health and safety of all. During the tour, the SCH chairman reasserted that the opening comes as part of the directives of HRH the Crown Prince to raise the capacity of isolation and treatment centers. He stressed that the National Taskforce is working according to a carefully planned strategy to control the outbreak. He also asserted that Bahrain will continue its efforts at all levels by providing the capabilities, qualified human resources and medical facilities to achieve the goal of eliminating the virus.
