Statement by Her Excellency the Minister
The healthcare system in the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved numerous pioneering milestones as part of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country (May God protect him), and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister (May God protect him).
The health sector has managed to secure a track record of successes throughout the past stages, thanks to the successful investment in loyal and qualified national medical and nursing cadres. These professionals represent the fundamental pillar in meeting the needs of both citizens and residents. Their expertise has been instrumental in addressing various global health challenges and executing projects, plans, and strategies with high efficiency, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of sustainability, justice, and competitiveness.

The Ministry of Health’s top priorities for the coming phase include:
Continued implementation and monitoring of goals related to sustainable development.
Enhancing joint action under the umbrella of Health Insurance (as an executive body) through continuous coordination with the Supreme Council of Health, government hospitals, and primary healthcare centers.
Developing national strategies for public health, infectious disease prevention, and the reduction of chronic (non-communicable) diseases.
Ensuring implementation according to the highest approved standards of quality and efficiency.
Our Vision: To build a healthy society enjoying comprehensive, sustainable, and health-promoting preventive care.
Our Mission: To regulate and monitor the provision of preventive and health-promoting public health services, governed by clear policies and legislation, and through effective local, regional, and global partnerships.
The achievements realized within this framework have enhanced the efficiency of the health sector and raised the quality of its services. Building on this foundation, our healthcare cadres will continue their efforts with a unified team spirit and a high sense of responsibility to sustain the journey of excellence, keeping pace with ambitious development aspirations to consolidate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position in the health field.
