Students extended a helping hand to the disabled in the Kingdom by donating wheelchairs to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
As part of their community service, Al Naseem International School (ANIS) Bahrain donated 20 wheelchairs to the ministry to serve the physically incapacitated citizens and residents of the Kingdom.
MoH Undersecretary Dr.
Aysha Mubarak Buaneq praised the students and staff of the school for their generous donation which contributes in serving many patients in the health centres, affiliated to the ministry.
“We are happy and appreciate the service of ANIS students and staff. I request every organisation in the society to co-operate and provide various facilities especially medical services to the citizens of the Kingdom,“ said Ms. Buaneq.
ANIS Students Activities Coordinator Samira Al Kooheji noted the school's participation in community services citing the previously organised 'walkathon' which raised BD10,000 for diabetic and cancer patients in the Kingdom.
“The students activities Directorate organise several student activities for the unfor
tunate citizens of our country.
Through such activities we purchased 60 wheelchairs, of which 40 were donated to charity societies and 20 to the ministry,“ added Ms. Al Kooheji.
