Interior Ministry announces total ban on all travelers who have visited China within 14 days of their arrival in Bahrain

Following the decision issued by the Government Executive Committee chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, regarding precautionary measures taken in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior has announced that the ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, has activated several procedures related to arrivals to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He  that all foreign visitors who have visited the People's Republic of China 14 days prior to their date of arrival in Bahrain would be banned from entering the Kingdom. H.E. added that Bahraini citizens, citizens of GCC countries, and Bahraini residents who have visited the People's Republic of China within 14 days of arriving in Bahrain would be required to undergo medical examinations recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Ministry of the Interior advises citizens and residents to follow WHO guidelines and avoid all but essential travel to areas where Coronavirus (COVID-19) has been detected.
