Health Ministry steps up inspections

The Ministry of Health  visited eight beauty parlours yesterday, Tuesday, and shut down two of them, due to the presence of COVID-19 cases among the employees. 

The Public Health Directorate referred the beauty parlours to competent legal authorities for violating the mandatory precautionary measures for combating the pandemic. The outlets were disinfected and preventive measures were taken.

The health inspectors have also shut down a massage centre for men due to the presence of a positive case among the employees. .

The Food Control Section at the Public Health Directorate, also conducted 80 inspection visits yesterday, Tuesday, and took action against 14 restaurants which were found in breach of the mandatory precautionary measures for combating COVID-19.

The clampdown was carried out yesterday, Tuesday, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).
