Waiting time at hospital emergency wards reduced by 78%

The health authories have succeeded in reducing patients’ waiting time at emergency department by 78% at the end of March 2021, it was revealed
 
The plan has also reduced the problem of congestion and the increase in the number of visitors in the waiting area by 25%.
 
Government Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said that the plan had also reduced the time for the emergency physician to examine the patient by 35%.
 
He stressed the importance of the self-management scheme which, he said, will contribute to attaining recording the highest performance rates and achieving the highest levels of satisfaction by upgrading health services in accordance with the best approved international standards.
 
Dr. Al Ansari outlined details of the plan during the media briefing, which held by the National Communication Centre, in cooperation with Government Hospitals executive management
 
He said that the National Health Insurance Project aims to raise the level of health care and financial sustainability, and to achieve advanced rates of competitiveness, transparency and justice, in a way that contributes to the implementation of Bahrain Vision 2030.
 
He said that the analysis of the current health services has been completed, adding that the operation aims to draw up an operating model, set financial and administrative regulations and allocate  the required budget for the development plan for self-management.
 
He revealed that specialized clinics were added in the evening period, adding that waiting lists for booking appointments were reduced and an information and inquiries office for outpatient clinics was set up in the main building.
