Health Minister hails solid Bahraini-Omani relations

Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, today received the outgoing Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulla bin Rashid Al-Mudailawi.

The minister affirmed the solid deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields, commending the good efforts exerted by the envoy throughout his tenure.

The ambassador conveyed to the Minister of Health the greetings of her Omani counterpart, lauding the kingdom’s efforts and initiatives to combat the novel Coronavirus pandemic, citing the outstanding success of the National Vaccination Campaign and the adoption of the COVID-19 Alert Level Traffic Light System based on COVID-19 positivity rates.

He also hailed the distinguished performance of the Bahraini medical competencies and the recommendations issued by the National Medical Taskforce and Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The envoy also congratulated the Health Minister on the successful visit of the Secretary-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, to the kingdom, noting that the visit yielded positive results, both at the local and international levels.

The two sides discussed health topics of mutual concern, in addition to ways to enhance Bahraini-Omani cooperation.
