Undersecretary of Health Participates in the 11th Preparatory Meeting of GCC Health Undersecretaries in Kuwait

Her Excellency Dr. Lulwa Rashid Showaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, participated in the 11th Preparatory Meeting for Their Excellencies the Ministers of Health of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, held in the State of Kuwait.
During her participation, Her Excellency expressed her sincere appreciation for the efforts of the GCC General Secretariat and the member states in supporting the advancement of joint Gulf cooperation. She emphasized the importance of such meetings in strengthening health collaboration pathways and unifying efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare systems and services, in alignment with the GCC’s vision for achieving sustainable development.
The meeting discussed several key health topics and projects on the agenda, including the follow-up on the Supreme Council’s resolutions related to the GCC Strategy for Combating Drugs 2025–2026, the GCC Virtual Health Complex, and Health Insurance. It also reviewed the outcomes of initiatives concerning the standardization of procedures for health specialization classification and registration, the Healthy Cities Initiative, and a number of recommendations issued by joint technical committees and working groups.
Her Excellency Dr. Showaiter also commended the pivotal role of the GCC Health Council in implementing joint health programs that contribute to advancing Gulf health integration and facilitating the exchange of successful experiences and expertise — efforts that continue to drive excellence and progress across the health sectors of GCC member states.
