Minister of Health Receives CEO of the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control

Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received His Excellency Colonel Dr. Manaf Mohamed Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Gulf Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (Gulf CDC).
At the beginning of the meeting, Her Excellency the Minister of Health emphasized the vital role played by the Gulf CDC in supporting the public health system across GCC countries. She praised its efforts in strengthening joint work in prevention, responding to health challenges, and developing policies and programs that contribute to achieving sustainable health for the peoples of the region.
During the meeting, a number of joint Gulf health initiatives and programs aimed at promoting public health concepts were reviewed. They also discussed the Centre's future strategic plans and directions for the coming phase, aligning with regional health priorities and enhancing the integration and unification of Gulf efforts in disease prevention and control.
For his part, Colonel Dr. Manaf Mohamed Al-Qahtani expressed his pride in meeting Her Excellency the Minister of Health, praising the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continuous commitment to developing the health sector and its support for joint Gulf initiatives. He affirmed the Centre's keenness to continue joint work, cooperation, and coordination with health sectors across GCC countries to achieve the desired strategic goals in the coming years.
