Undersecretary of Health Chairs the Regular Meeting of the One Health Committee

Dr. Lulwa Rashid Showaiter, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, chaired the second regular meeting of the One Health Committee for 2026, held via videoconference, with the participation of representatives from relevant national entities.
During the meeting, the Undersecretary of Health emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among all concerned stakeholders to further strengthen the efficiency of the public health system and reinforce the One Health approach, in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain's ongoing efforts to enhance national health security.
The committee also discussed a number of agenda items, most notably the GCC One Health Strategy, including its strategic directions and programs aimed at strengthening regional cooperation in health and preventive fields, contributing to the achievement of the shared goals and aspirations of the GCC countries.
