Minister of Health Chairs the National Committee Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases

H.E. Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired the meeting of the National Committee for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), which was held via videoconference.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health emphasized the importance of continued coordination and collaboration among all relevant stakeholders to achieve the Kingdom’s national objectives in the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases. She also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to monitoring health initiatives and further developing policies and programs that promote community health.

The meeting also reviewed mechanisms to further strengthen joint efforts and intensify national initiatives, in addition to launching more programs and initiatives aimed at reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases, in line with the Kingdom’s approved health plans and strategies.
