President of the Supreme Council of Health Meets with Kuwait’s Minister of Health

H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, met with H.E. Dr. Ahmed Abdulwahab Al-Awadhi, Minister of Health of the sisterly State of Kuwait, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, the President of the Supreme Council of Health welcomed the Kuwaiti Minister of Health and highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly State of Kuwait. He noted the continued growth and development of bilateral relations across various sectors, particularly in healthcare, under the leadership and guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait. Their leadership continues to strengthen cooperation and coordination in pursuit of shared aspirations and common goals.

The meeting reviewed opportunities to further enhance cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait across various healthcare fields. Discussions focused on advancing the bilateral partnership to support the continued development of healthcare services, strengthen the capabilities of national healthcare professionals, and expand the exchange of expertise and successful experiences between the two countries.

H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa emphasized the importance of building on the fruitful cooperation already established between the two sisterly countries, praising Kuwait’s distinguished expertise and experience in the healthcare sector, which can contribute to the ongoing development of Bahrain’s healthcare system while promoting greater regional integration and coordination for the mutual benefit of both nations.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), and Dr. Samia Bahram, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health.
