Minister of Health Chairs the Fourth Regular Meeting of the National Taskforce for the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases

H.E. Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired the fourth meeting of the National Taskforce for the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases for 2026, with the participation of taskforce members representing various relevant entities.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen and integrate national efforts to monitor and control communicable diseases. She commended the role of the taskforce in monitoring and developing preventive and precautionary plans, as well as updating health programmes and policies in line with the latest developments and in support of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s health security system.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms for further strengthening joint health efforts and monitoring the implementation of approved recommendations and strategies. It also reviewed updates to national plans aimed at enhancing the efficiency of testing and epidemiological surveillance, as well as developing proactive response mechanisms to limit the spread of communicable diseases and protect the health and safety of community members.
