20/08/2026

As part of the Ministry of Health’s efforts to promote health awareness among children and young people, the Health Promotion Directorate participated in the activities of Youth City 2030 and Summer Sports City through a range of interactive health awareness programmes and activities. The initiatives aim to engage young people in building a sustainable health culture and promoting positive behaviours through approaches that align with their interests.

The participation included awareness lectures covering a number of topics, including basic first aid and the prevention of heat exhaustion, in addition to interactive activities that combined education and entertainment. These activities highlighted the importance of healthy nutrition and the prevention of common summer-related illnesses.

This participation underscores the importance of empowering and engaging young people in health awareness programmes, as they are active partners in promoting health awareness and healthy lifestyles among their peers and within their families and communities. Investing in young people’s health awareness today is also an essential step towards building a generation that is better equipped to make informed health decisions and contribute to improving community health.

The Health Promotion Directorate also seeks to leverage youth programmes and events to develop more interactive and innovative future initiatives that bring together health, sports, and entertainment, while enhancing the role of young people in disseminating health messages and promoting sustainable healthy practices.
