Minister of Health Receives Director General of the Gulf Health Council

H.E. Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received H.E. Mr. Sulaiman bin Saleh Al-Dakheel, Director General of the Gulf Health Council.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of areas of mutual interest and the latest developments in the healthcare sector, and discussed ways to further develop cooperation and activate joint Gulf health initiatives and projects. The meeting also addressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s preparations to host the 12th session of the Gulf Health Council, including its objectives and expected outcomes, in support of the continued advancement of Gulf health cooperation.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting the efforts of the Gulf Health Council and strengthening the exchange of expertise, experiences, and successful health practices among GCC countries. She highlighted the importance of these efforts in developing Gulf healthcare systems, enhancing health preparedness, strengthening health security, and keeping pace with emerging health developments and challenges. She also commended the role of the Gulf Health Council in supporting Gulf health integration and coordination, emphasizing the importance of continuing joint efforts and activating health initiatives and programmes that address the priorities and future aspirations of GCC countries.
For his part, H.E. Mr. Sulaiman bin Saleh Al-Dakheel expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts in supporting Gulf health cooperation, commending the level of coordination and collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Gulf Health Council.
