Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, chaired the regular meeting of the National Committee for Combating Smoking and Tobacco in all its forms and products.
Her Excellency emphasized the importance of continuing coordination among the relevant authorities and intensifying preventive, awareness, and regulatory efforts to reduce the consumption of tobacco in its various forms and products. These efforts contribute to supporting national initiatives aimed at protecting the health and safety of all members of society.
The meeting also discussed mechanisms for implementing market surveillance as part of the multi-layered regulatory system to combat smoking and tobacco in all its forms and products.
