The Ministry of Health has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing efforts to enhance health awareness, promote the principles of prevention, and encourage members of the community to adopt healthy lifestyles, thereby supporting national efforts to build a healthier and more sustainable society.
This statement comes on the occasion of Arab Health Day, which is being observed this year under the theme “Towards a Longer Life and Sustainable Quality of Life,” reflecting the importance placed on human health as a fundamental pillar of development, as well as the significance of continued Arab cooperation and the exchange of expertise and experiences in the health sector.
The Ministry explained that it continues to implement programs and initiatives aimed at developing the healthcare system, strengthening primary healthcare services, preventing diseases and promoting early detection, in addition to utilizing digital solutions and innovation to support healthcare services. These efforts seek to align with best practices and meet the health needs of the community.
The Ministry noted that enhancing quality of life is linked to an integrated system that begins with awareness and prevention and extends to adopting healthy behaviors, engaging in physical activity, following a balanced diet, and undergoing regular health screenings. Such practices contribute to preventing chronic diseases, enabling their early detection, and supporting individuals in leading healthier and more active lives.
The Ministry further emphasized that achieving health objectives requires integrated efforts across various sectors and community institutions. This strengthens community partnerships in promoting health awareness, expands initiatives that support health and prevention, and contributes to creating an environment that encourages healthy choices throughout all stages of life.
The Ministry expressed its appreciation for the efforts of healthcare, administrative, and technical personnel and their vital role in supporting the efficiency of the healthcare system and the quality of its services. It reaffirmed that investing in human health remains a national priority, and that Arab Health Day represents an opportunity to renew the commitment to enhancing health awareness, strengthening a culture of prevention, and continuing efforts toward sustainable health and a better quality of life for all.
