On the Sidelines of the High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response in New York, Health Minister Meets UAE and Singapore Counterparts

On the sidelines of the High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as part of the proceedings of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly, Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, met with His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention of the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health of the Republic of Singapore.
During her meeting with His Excellency the Minister of Health and Prevention of the United Arab Emirates, the two sides reviewed areas of cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly United Arab Emirates in the health sector, as well as ways to further develop them in support of the ongoing health cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of expertise and experiences in specialized medical fields.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in support of the development of health services and to benefit from scientific advancements and modern technologies in the fields of healthcare, diagnosis, and treatment. They emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the two countries across various health fields.
During her meeting with His Excellency Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health of the Republic of Singapore, Her Excellency the Minister of Health discussed ways to strengthen health cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Singapore, as well as the exchange of expertise and experiences in areas of mutual interest, including communicable and non-communicable diseases, health emergencies, and disease prevention.
The two sides discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in artificial intelligence and its applications in the health sector, supporting the development of health services and the adoption of modern technologies. They also emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and exchanging expertise and knowledge in health-related fields, contributing to joint efforts to advance the quality of healthcare and strengthen the preparedness of health systems to address various health challenges.
