13/10/2026

The Ministry of Health continues its awareness efforts to prevent breast cancer and promote early detection through its annual “Itmi’nan” campaign, held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign targets girls and women aged 18 and above through a range of educational and awareness programs and activities across the governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The campaign reflects the Ministry of Health’s commitment to raising health awareness among community members and enhancing knowledge of breast cancer risk factors and prevention methods. It also emphasizes the importance of following health guidelines and undergoing regular screening in accordance with medical recommendations, as early detection can help identify the disease in its initial stages and reduce complications.

The national “Itmi’nan” campaign is one of the awareness initiatives organized annually by the Health Promotion Directorate during October. It aims to strengthen public awareness of breast cancer, highlight the importance of prevention and early detection, and provide psychological and social support to women affected by the disease.
