On the Sidelines of the “Future of Health 2026” Summit in Abu Dhabi, Minister of Health Discusses Areas of Healthcare Cooperation with Officials and Representatives of the Health Sector

Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, held a number of bilateral meetings with officials and representatives of healthcare institutions and companies on the sidelines of her participation in the “Future of Health 2026” Summit, taking place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 20 to 22 October. The meetings aimed to exchange expertise and experiences in several healthcare areas of mutual interest.
In this regard, Her Excellency the Minister of Health met with His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention of the sisterly United Arab Emirates. The meeting discussed ways to strengthen healthcare cooperation between the two countries and exchange expertise and experiences in developing health services and enhancing their efficiency, quality and sustainability.
Her Excellency also met with Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the Emirates Council for Integrative Medicine. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and review the experiences of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly United Arab Emirates in integrative, complementary and alternative medicine. Discussions also covered current practices and emerging trends in this field, including the use of evidence-based approaches to support healthcare.
The Minister also met with Mr. Mohit Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ultrahuman, during which she was briefed on the company’s experience in modern health technologies, particularly the use of innovation and data analytics to support prevention and proactive healthcare.
Her Excellency further met with Mr. Sergei Zverev, President of the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region at Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD). The meeting reviewed developments in vaccination and disease prevention programmes, as well as the latest developments in public health and ways to benefit from scientific advancements in this field.
