On the Occasion of Bahraini Doctor Day, Minister of Health: Bahraini Doctors Are a Key Pillar in Advancing the Healthcare System and Achieving Outstanding Accomplishments

Her Excellency Dr. Jaleela bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, affirmed that Bahraini doctors represent a key pillar in the continued development of the healthcare system in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is reflected in their scientific competence, professional expertise, humanitarian dedication, and active contributions to improving the quality of healthcare services and strengthening the Kingdom’s standing in the medical field.
This came during a virtual meeting organised by the Ministry of Health on the occasion of Bahraini Doctor Day, which falls this year on Wednesday, 4 November. The meeting was attended by a wide range of medical professionals and healthcare sector officials, in recognition of the vital role doctors play in serving the community and contributing to the development of the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
The meeting opened with an address by Her Excellency the Minister of Health, who emphasised that the support and care extended to the healthcare sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, constitute a fundamental pillar for the continued development of the healthcare system, strengthening national workforce capabilities, and empowering them to contribute to achieving health and development objectives.
Her Excellency expressed her great pride in the outstanding achievements made by Bahraini doctors across various medical specialities. She noted that their dedicated efforts and professional and humanitarian contributions reflect the high levels of competence and excellence demonstrated by the national medical workforce, while strengthening confidence in the capabilities of the healthcare system in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Her Excellency also highlighted the prominent role played by Bahraini doctors in achieving numerous outstanding healthcare accomplishments and initiatives, including the establishment of the National Genome Center, expanding immunisation coverage, meeting quality standards, and making effective contributions to Healthy Cities initiatives. She stressed the importance of building on these achievements by investing in national talent, expanding training and professional development opportunities, encouraging scientific research, and making use of digital transformation capabilities and advanced health technologies.
