Medical Checkup for UOB Students

  1. Procedures Concerning Students
    1. Students accepted in any of the colleges at the University of Bahrain should present documents proving their acceptance.
    2. Students have to come to the Health Center between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. providing the following documents:
      • Original CPR card.
      • A fee of BD. 10 if accepted at any of the colleges except the College of Physical Education a fee of BD. 20 will be charged.
      • Three recent photographs.
      These are required to take an appointment for the Medical Checkup.
    3. The students of the College of Physical Education shall complete the Fitness Form.

  2. Procedures Concerning Records Section
    1. The clerk has to complete the Medical checkup form and provide it to the students.
    2. Provide a plastic container (bottle) to all students for the urine sample. Additional blood testing for Hb & STD and chest X-ray will be done for students at the College of Physical Education.
    3. Identify an appointment for the checkup as seen necessary depending on the student’s condition.
    4. Students have to visit the nursing room approximately 30 minutes before the allocated checkup appointment.
    5. Ensure that students understand all the above procedures.

  3. Procedures Concerning Nursing Room
    1. Receive the certificates daily from the Medical Records Section according to the appointment schedule.
    2. The nurse shall carry out the following activities:
      1. Check the urine samples (Dip Stick).
      2. Carry out eye checkup.
      3. Check the blood pressure.
      4. Direct the student to the checkup room.

  4. Procedures Concerning Family Physician
    1. Review the Medical checkup form, test results, X-ray and the Physical Fitness form.
    2. Review the Medical history from the file.
    3. Carry out the Medical checkup.
    4. Request additional tests depending on the students physical condition student and request secondary consultation if necessary.
    5. Sign and stamp the medical report.

  5. Procedures Concerning Resident Physician or his Deputy
    1. Review all laboratory test results and Medical report.
    2. Endorse the Medical report.
    3. Direct the student to the Records Room to complete all procedures.

NOTE:
If a student requires additional tests at Salmaniya Medical Complex, his/her papers will be held back at the Records Room until he/she completes all the requested tests. Then another appointment will be given with the Physician to complete the checkup.
