Choose Your Doctor Program

The program is a part of the Autonomy project, and is under the umbrella of the national health insurance. The project is a part of the National health Plan (2016-2025) that has been approved by the distinguished Council of Ministers that aims to provide Integrated Health services, with high quality with the optimum use of resources Available to meet with the objectives of the sustainable development which is a part of the economic Vision 2030.

The Program is supported by the supreme council of health due to its goals in improving and developing primary health services in the kingdom of Bahrain, as primary health is considered the main entrance to health services. Choose your doctor program will link each individual and his family with the doctor of his choice.

The medical and nursing staff in the health center provide therapeutic and preventive services such as immunization, health education and early detection of some disease such as cancer, diabetes and others. The program includes the coordination of work between nurse and doctor that aims to provide integrated health care for patients by dividing roles between the doctor and the nurse. It also aims to enhance communication with patients.
