Prior to importing new tobacco or electronic nicotine products into the Kingdom of Bahrain, it is mandatory to submit product samples. These samples must clearly display packaging dimensions, health warnings, and all data inscribed on the product's informative label. Additionally, all required documentation must be provided to ensure compliance with the specifications and standards enforced within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
General Requirements (for all tobacco & nicotine products)
- Importer health certificate (covering tobacco trade).
- Importer pledge to keep distribution records.
- Copy of product labels and health warnings (front & back). To ensure compliance with Technical Standards based on GSO or national standards.
Commercial Registrations (CRs) that hold licenses for importing tobacco products and/or electronic nicotine products.
