Description

Cervical cancer is a cancer arising from the cervix It is due to the abnormal growth of cells that have the ability to invade or spread to other parts of the body

Causes

- Infection by human papillomavirus (HPV) which may be transmitted from sex during intercourse.

- Some studies have found a link between smoking and cervical cancer

Symptoms

- intermenstraul bleeding
-vaginal discharge
- There may be pain in some cases in the area of the cervix during sexual  intercourse
- It may be accompanied by pain in the bones or lower abdomen pain
-wieght loss and general fatigue

Treatments

It depends on several factors, such as the general health status of the patient, the type of cancer and degree, and the patient 's personal choices.

Prevention

Taking vaccination against human papillomavirus
- Regular check-ups
- Each female advises to do Pap smear every two to three years which helps to detect the presence of any changes in the cervix cells
- Quit Smoking .
