Malaria is an infectious disease caused by a parasite organism called Plasmodium, transmitted by mosquitoes

. The disease is caused by Plasmodium parasites, which are carried by Anopheles mosquitos

The person can become infected with malaria in ways other than exposure to mosquito bites; and that exposure to infected blood in the following cases :
- Infected mother can transmit malaria to fetus .
- Blood transfusion from an infected person  .
- Sharing needles with an infected person .

Symptoms begin to appear within weeks of exposure to mosquito bites, and symptoms include recurrent episodes of :
- High body temperature and jerk
- Severe sweating
- Headache
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea

There are a group of drugs used to treat malaria and used depending on the type and location of the detected parasite infection in the world. As some of these parasites formed resistance against the drugs  .

- Mosquito Control .
- Protect your self against mosquitoes by wearing long-sleeve shirts and long trousers and by using mosquitos repellents  .
- use nets to cover windows and doors .
- Use of mosquito nets in case of sleeping outside the house .
- Avoid traveling to places where malaria is rampant as much as possible .
- Be sure to take medicines to prevent malaria in the event of the need to travel to areas affected by malaria by taking preventive dose prescribed  .
