Indications: addisonian pernicious anemia, subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord, other causes of vitamin B12 deficiency. Contra-indications: Sensitivity to cobalt and/or vitamin B12. Side Effects: Mild diarrhea, itching, temporary feeling of warmth and pain at the injection site may occur. Dose: Avoid using the intravenous route |
