This is a calcium-channel blocker. Indications: hypertension; prophylaxis of angina. Cautions: severe liver impairment, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Contra-indications: cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, aortic stenosis, breast feeding. Side Effects: headache, oedema, dizziness, fatigue, flushing, nausea palpitations, sleep disturbances.. Dose: 5 mg once daily, may be increased to 10 mg once daily.
