The United Nations celebrates World Down Syndrome Day, which falls on March 21st of each year. The UN calls on countries around the world not to neglect the inclusion of people with Down syndrome in society, in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals set by the organization. The day aims to raise awareness about Down syndrome, how it occurs, and the role of individuals with Down syndrome in communities, as well as encouraging individuals with Down syndrome to pursue education or work.
