Countries around the world observe Lung Cancer Awareness Month from November 1st to 30th each year. Lung cancer is considered one of the most common types of cancer globally and accounts for more annual deaths than the combined total of deaths caused by breast, colon, and prostate cancers. This month aims to raise awareness about lung cancer, reduce related deaths, support research efforts to find treatments, educate those at risk of developing lung cancer, and increase awareness about the harms of smoking.
